Description of functional and technological features of Ekko R 55 firebox:
- The material of the firebox body is heat-resistant non-alloyed steel with a thickness of 4 to 5 mm. The designers have envisaged which parts of the body are made of steel of greater thickness, ensuring the strength of the construction and resistance to high temperatures without deformation.
- The material of the hood (smokebox) is 8 mm thick cast iron. This design solution is dictated by the fact that the chimney hood cannot be lined with heat-resistant materials, so steel is not suitable as a material.
- Numerous range of firebox decorations and additional accessories makes the purchase of a Schmid firebox unique, special, with an appearance according to your taste and desire.
- The firewood chamber is lined with heat-resistant natural-coloured chamotte in a brickwork pattern or in a solid colour. Delivery with grey and black lining is possible. Thanks to the internal blowing and smoothness of the material, soot and grime do not settle on the fireclay.
- The PRIMARY & SECONDARY double air supply system has the functions of rapid ignition, long combustion and secondary afterburning. This is in compliance with environmental protection requirements, confirmed by the German state quality certificates ‘DIN Plus’ and ‘EFA’.
- The ‘TWIN AIR stream’ system works on the principle of blowing hot air over the inner surface of the glass during combustion in the furnace. The air flow along the glass prevents it from getting dirty and leaves it transparent, giving a good view of the burning logs and the changing play of fire glow.
- The observation glass is made in Germany, it is ceramic, heat-resistant, withstands a temperature of 800 ° Celsius, which is twice higher than the necessary standards.
- There is a removable ash pan with a cast iron grate and a convenient handle.
- Adjustment of the air supply intensity is simple and effortless.
- The firebox is equipped with height-adjustable legs, which ensure a perfectly level installation of the firebox.
- The capacity of the firebox is designed for installation in a medium-sized room, 10 kW, depending on the quality and dryness of the wood.
- The warranty for the firebox and its modifications is 5 years.
- Additional possibility of fresh air supply from outside the room to maintain a high level of oxygen in the place where the firebox is installed.
