Description:
Large three-sided Spartherm U-90h wood burning fireplace firebox. The door panes are arranged in a ‘P’ (U) pattern. The smoke box is installed in a relatively high position. This firebox effectively zones the room, providing an excellent view of the fire from different angles.
The door of the U-90h is made of silicate thermo glass of the highest quality, which can withstand temperatures of up to 850 degrees centigrade. The glass parts of the door are butt jointed. The glass is lifted and fixed in this position to allow the fuel to be put in and the firebox to be used open. There is a stylish chrome-plated handle for lifting the glass. The sides of the door can be opened to the side for easy maintenance.
The firebox is equipped with a secondary air intake system. It is used to activate ‘upper’ combustion: carbon monoxide is burnt in the upper part of the chamber. In this way, the firebox generates additional heat and at the same time reduces harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
Secondary air is also used in the ‘Clean Glass’ system with which the U-90h firebox is equipped. When the fuel burns, the secondary air blows through all the glass parts of the door. This air pushes the smoke away from the glass, preventing it from coming into contact with the door. The combustion products do not settle on the thermal glass and it remains transparent.
The inner lining of the fuel chamber is made at the bottom and at the back of the chamber. The lining material of the fuel chamber is golden in colour. This material - a Spartherm development - accumulates heat in the best way and releases it efficiently. The lining is easy to care for. Convenient removable ashtray of large size for comfortable cleaning. Additionally, the manufacturer supplies a metal frame for securely fixing the thermal box above the firebox, in the upper part of the room.
